Hack,

Thanks for asking.

Dolly is a demanding Gal! Without question, we are paying our dues with this project. The engine is out and torn down for a cam change. In addition, we changed the rear gear and have the converter sent for the 3rd change.

We will prevail, we have the experience and desire, yet it has been a frustrating journey. Our eyes are on the reward and I think we will have some good performance before the season ends.

After you a few months of working with it now, how do you like the Holley EFI and touchscreen?

Considering that system for my altered build (Spitzer 32 bantam with supercharged LS).

Thanks

Tim

Tim,

I've been disappointed in the performance of the Altered on EFI. For unknown reasons, we just couldn't get it to respond to adjustments or run as well as it was built to. I've had a few experienced tuners including Holley to look at my data logs, but the common theme was that the tune was close. As an experiment we are in the process of changing the system to carbs and will report back our findings.

Tim,

EFI was new to me and I spent a few thousand dollars with an experienced tuner to help with the initial tune, remote race day support, and a chassis dyno session.

The Holley Dash is was cool. I liked customizing the view and the data monitoring it provided was impressive.

I may go back to EFI at some point, but I'm currently not smart enough for it to perform well.
