Lakeland Dragway
What are your thoughts on racing at Lakeland this year? Do you feel we should have a race there? Need input from you members. Jim

Re: Lakeland Dragway
Well 90% of all entries are from central florida so I would like to see the schedule reflect. I enjoy SGMP but Ga. boys need to step up. I hope to support as many as possible but as of now it will be considerably less than the past. I may be having a big garage sale soon. Merry Christmas

Re: Lakeland Dragway
Maybe look at car count at each track and adjust accordingly.

Re: Lakeland Dragway
While not my favorite track I do agree with statement of racing in ga. with very little support. From a FL. boy stand point I will race as many fl and ga races as poss. and support SSSSA Thanks

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I don't think we should go back. Maybe some new tracks or give DMP another try. The bad weather wasn't their fault.

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I like Lakeland very much. Yes, lets go back. Actually I always thought that Lakeland was kind of the HOME of the SSSSA, guess I was wrong. The owner seemed very nice and happy to have us there. That should be a ringing endorsement, right there!

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I agree with Don , Lakeland was the birthplace of the SSSSA.we need to keep it on the schedule . Maybe we should look into doing the races like we did at Douglas Motorsports Park , 2 races in one day. IHRA does it that way, maybe we ought to try it? It might help on the car count, I know it would help on expenses.just a thought ! Kenney Kelley

Re: Lakeland Dragway
The problem I have with Lakeland is if you make HP you will spin.I like going there and supporting ssssa, but I would not have won any rounds except for one guy went red,one broke out 1tenth,next was 300 late. If you have a decent light and run close to your no. you win I LOSE...... JAY

Re: Lakeland Dragway
I agree with Don Himes, We need to go back to lakeland and race. This is the home track of the SSSSA. After all lakeland had the best car count then any other tracks we went to.
