Super Stock doesn't have that limit. Better have a good source for valve springs.

You're right! This is even a better engine for SS....Maybe the heads are too big for a Stocker?

At least in SS you can fill them the size you find to be the fastest. In Stock I doubt you could get by with intake ports full of epoxy. LOL

I was wandering about this because one FS class is 450 and less and the other is 450 and more ci . Have I got the size of the engine wrong?

They go by original CID. Even if over bored its still a "450 CID" engine.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I asked Bruce at the NHRA the same question, because it is not clear. This is his answer.

"Factory Showdown is treated the same as base Stock or Super Stock. Factory cubic inches is one number. we would not use an overbore number."
