Mid Atlantic Super Gas Results Race #1
Well mother nature put a huge blow into the first weekend of the newly formed Mid Atlantic Super Gas Association first race at Atco Raceway. Saturday opened with Sunny overcast skys with high winds but as the day progressed the clouds rolled in. 21 cars showed up for the season opener which was not a bad turnout considering the weather forcast for the weekend. After the dust had settled the finalist were getting ready to make it up to the staging lanes when the clouds opened up and rained out the rest of the night. Rip Shaw and his Bowtie Bird T-Bird will face off against Iggie Boicesco at the next MASGA race June 2nd and 3rd at Maple Grove Raceway.

Sorry we missed it. Had tickets for Spamalot. If the race was anything like usual, Dave & Gary should have had a blast!

I had a great time, people were great to us Newbies, considering it was my 3rd pass ever in S/G, I thought my .000 9.899 off the trailer was way cool. My worst light of the day was an.012 & I lost by 13 ten thousands in the 2nd made me feel like I may have a future in the class. What I enjoyed the most was the excellent spread the organization put out after the race. What I need getting used to is knowing that some of these cars are actually faster than mine and can get around me unlike in S/St where only a couple can stay with me up top.
Had a great time & would recommend MASGA to anyone who enjoys running S/G and having 2 separate races in 2 days. gary
