Default William Dunlop was killed today:

Tragic news- It is reported that William went down in the "Sams Tunnel" section of the Skerries 100 road racing course in Northern Ireland earlier today.

William was 32 years old, and leaves behind his tiny daughter Ella and his widow Janine, who is pregnant with their next child.

William's father Robert died May 15th 2008 during the North West 200 in Northern Ireland. Robert's sons William and Michael were on track at the time of Robert's death during a practice session. Michael and William were subsequently declared mentally unfit to race, but three days later they forced their way onto the starting grid, and Michael won the race.

Robert's older brother Joey died July 2nd 2000 in a minor race in Estonia. Fifty thousand people attended his funeral in their family's home town of Ballymoney in Northern Ireland.

There are memorial statues of Joey and Robert in Ballymoney, and there is also a statue of Joey on the Isle of Man.

William's death leaves Michael as the only remaining road racer from the Dunlop family.

Thoughts and prayers for the Dunlop family and loved ones.
