7AL3 question
I have recently experienced an issue with the launch rpm chip, When I put the car on the chip (5000), the rpm's went past the chip and up on the converter (5600). I put a 200 rpm lower chip (4800) on the next pass but my recorder shows, that the rpm's were (4950). I know there probably is a variable on the chips but how far off is an allowable.
I looked at previous runs and the rpm's at launch are consistent. I think the issue is in the 7AL3 box. Any idea's? Kevin Tiedemann S/ST 145T |

Re: 7AL3 question
Kevin, + - 50 rpm not unusual on a chip.
I had several issues last year with my 7 AL3 . I sent it to TechWest Services ,and it came back better than new. You could hear the difference in idle quality and throttle response ! You may have to keep trying to reach him ,but its well worth the time spent..... heres his E-mail and you can find him here on the forum :techwest@techwestracing.com
