Re: "Live" from our Southwestern Swing
We're here, we're here, we're here!!! We got passed by Mike Walters just a flying somewhere this morning! Looks like anybody who is in the running for points is here this weekend. We rode around a little and saw a bunch of Div. 5 guys here. Hagberg, Siebert, Johnson and we were told Scott Burton would be here later. Then Irvin Johns is parked right next to us. Oh if you want to come visit, we are outside the gate along the road so after it rains, we can hopefully drive out (or at least be easy to pull out with the tow hooks on the front). This morning the weather forecast was not looking too good. Maybe even up to 5 inches of rain in spotty areas. Hopefully this won't be one of the spots. I took a few pics that I will post a little later. Got to get everything set up now.

Re: "Live" from our Southwestern Swing
It has been a nice, relaxing afternoon here in Noble. It has been very windy and warm, 85 or so. It doesn't seem to be very many people here. Lots of out of division cars, like us. Others seen this afternoon--the DeFranks, Mick and Jackie Alley (and we thought we drove a long way). 600 miles for us, the Alleys-1500 miles. I don't know just how far it was for the DeFranks. Also here are Bill Rink and Fred Henson.
I guess the weather is keeping some away. Now it is looking ok until Sat. night, then rain and rain on Sunday. But we will just wait and see! Oh, if I have any of the names wrong, please correct me! Well more tomorrow! |

Re: "Live" from our Southwestern Swing
According to www.mapquest.com the DeFranks traveled about 1370 miles to get to Noble, OK.

Re: "Live" from our Southwestern Swing
Larry and Patsy, I'm glad you're coming out west, and I look forward to finally meeting the two great people who made last year more tolerable for me by being able to follow your travel ventures then, while I wasn't racing much. Have fun in Noble, and stay safe in your travels...btw we have Cracker Barrel and Black Bear Diner restaurants here too!
