Default Mid Atlantic .90 Association returns to Numidia in 2017

Numidia, Pa – The Mid Atlantic .90 Series is set to roar back into action at Numidia Dragway for the 2017 season after an almost 4 year hiatus from the Central Pa facility. The series that consists of Super Comp, Gas & Street will visit the track on July 8th & 9th, 2017. This will be a fun-filled event full of action packed .90 racing and some big money at stake. Things kick off on Friday, July 7th as the series presents the first annual “Night at Knoebels Amusement Park” for those who arrive early. Track owner Bob Dimino will supply a bus to cart racers & families to & from the track so you don’t have to worry about bringing an extra vehicle for that day. Times have not been set yet as far as departure time but, you can visit http://www.knoebels.com to start planning the cool and awesome rides you will take on that night.

Saturday, July 8th has an action packed day & night for the racers ahead of them. The Mid Atlantic .90 Series will kick things off in the morning with Race # 5 of their 2017 season and a guaranteed $1,500 awaits the winner of all three classes at days end. If 30 or more cars show up per class the purse goes up to $1,750 for the win. If you happen to lose early and don’t want to wait till the next day to erase that loss, Numidia will be having a bracket race later on that night along with Fireworks & The Jet Trains in honor of the July 4th holiday. On Sunday, the .90 cars return for Race # 6 of their season and once again a guaranteed purse of $1,500 awaits the winners in all three classes and the same goes for Sunday if the count is higher than 30 cars. Once again Numidia will be putting on a Summit Series Bracket race for those who want to get the best bang for their buck traveling up to the mountain.

Entry fee as always is $30.00 at the gate for driver & $7.00 for crew / spectator. If you are wanting to run with the .90 series you will go and visit Rob Keister at his trailer and pay the $75.00 registration fee to compete. Payouts start at 3rd round loser and a handcrafted trophy made by S&W Race Cars in Spring City, Pa awaits the winners each day. For more information you can visit the website at www.midatlantic90.com or find us on Facebook or Instagram or you can call Rob Keister @ 856-332-2851 or e-mail him at Rekeister@aol.com. See you there!!!

Thumbs up Re: Mid Atlantic .90 Association returns to Numidia in 2017

Hope to see you there. I know it's on top of the Pittsburgh IHRA Pro-Am that weekend and Super Rod on Sunday is being offered $5,000 to win but, hoping to see some of you make the trip up to the Hills!

I would say to those of you planning your trip to not use the GPS way. GPS takes you the quickest and fastest way to get to your destination and doesn't take into realization that you have a Motorhome & Trailer. Hopefully some of you will chime in with your ways to get to the track for others to follow. When we come from Southern NJ we take

476 up to the Pocono Exit and Route 80
Take 80 all the way to Buckhorn Exit and exit 232
Get off there and take route 42 (There is gas stations & a wal-mart if you need to get fuel or shop)
42 becomes route 11 and you are on there for maybe 1/4 mile and then jump back onto 42.
You will take 42 into the little town of Catiwissa, there is a lot of stop lights in town so when you see the split (42 & 487) stay left and make sure your on the GAS as you will hit a good sized hill....not sure of the grade but, it's a winding hill and you need to make sure your going pretty fast.
Once you get over the hill, the track will be on your left hand side about 2-3 miles down from the hill.
If you come from the other direction, it's very dangerous with a motorhome & trailer. Take my advice, I've done it before and it's not fun. We are going to try to park on the other side of the track since there is a lot of stuff going on that weekend with the bracket races and jet cars & fireworks that will pack the stands on Saturday Night. We are hoping to get Race # 5 mostly done before the bracket race & show kicks off.

Any questions

On July 7th we are planning a trip over to Knoebels Amusement Park for the Racers, Family & Kids. For those of you who have never been to Knoebels it's one of the very few "Free" Amusement parks in the US and only 15 minutes from Numidia. What they basically do it charge you per ride in tickets, just like a carnival. They also have some very good food (Not as good as the tracks) and all types of things for the family to do.

Right now, I can get discounted tickets for the rides for racers who want to go (20% off) but, need a commitment of 50 people. I have about a total of 15 so far. I'm still waiting to see what time the bus would get to the track to pick up everyone but, I'm thinking around 3-4pm. It will be a great time for everyone, I promise as we have a little bit of everything for everyone. Amusement Parks, 4 Races, Jet Cars & Fireworks and some good money to win!!

If interested leave a voicemail at 856-332-2851

FRIDAY NIGHT STREET LEGAL RACING:

Gates open at 5:00pm till about 11pm (Weather Permitting). Normally if Bob sees a trailer coming in till about 12pm he will open the gate for them but, not after that time. We are hoping to have the gates open in the AM to let those who want to go to Knoebels earlier park. They will close the gates around 4pm for the Friday Night show so nobody sneaks in on them when they open at 5pm.

Saturday Points Race- Gates Open At 9AM – Jr. Dragster time runs start at 10:30 AM, Jr. Dragster Eliminations at 12:00 PM, Street-Pro-S/Pro-M/C Time Trials start at 1:30 PM, Eliminations start at 3:30 PM

Sunday Points Race – Gates Open At 8:00AM – Jr. Dragster time runs start at 9:00 AM, Jr. Dragster Eliminations at 11:00 AM, Street-Pro-S/Pro-M/C Time Trials start at 11:30 AM, Eliminations start at 1:00 PM

Gate Fee: $30.00
Association Fee: $75.00 (Paid to Rob Keister, ill have a tent set up on the other side).
Spectator: $7.00
If you come in early Friday, you may need to go over and buy your tech card / spectator pass for the weekend. Please do so, Bob really is helping you out the racer, don't try to skim over for a few bucks on a spectator pass.
12 Years old and younger- Free Entry

Another way to go and make it easier on the tow for those of you with giant motorhomes & stackers. This should bypass a lot of the mountains :

Take 80 (E or W) all the way to Danville Exit 224
Take Route 54 (Mill Road) through Danville over the River and railroad tracks and make a left back onto 54 which then becomes (Elysburg Rd) (3.4 miles from Route 80 to turn).
Going to take 54 for a good amount of distance (11.6 miles)
Till you come to Bear Gap Rd (On your left). Reading Turnpike will be on your right hand side before Bear Gap Rd Appears. Turn Left onto Bear Gap Rd and take that all the way out till you hit 42 (6.1 Miles) make a left and track will be on your right hand side about 1-2 miles. This way you bypass the big mountain but, may add about 10 - 15 more minutes to your trip.
