Is this a dime rocket
My son picked up a 79 Pinto wagon. Haven't seen if its a 140 or a 171. All original with under 40K. I thought that Marty Buth or his brother had the same combo but circa 1973-4.

Re: Is this a dime rocket
i was looking at the pinto combo and the first thing you will have to replace in the rear axle with an 8" ford. Also the 73 had the 1600 or 2000 not the 2300

Re: Is this a dime rocket
My old Pinto was indeed a 1976 and it now is owned by Derrick Elam. Derrick recently got runner up at the Las Vegas LODRS race with the car. Not sure if it is a dime rocket, but they are a fun car.

For those of you that think you can't win from the slow end of the field, the Elam's W/SA Pinto has a win and 2 runner ups in divisionals this year. With only 5 races, they finished 3rd in points, not too shabby.

Hi Marty! Ya know, back in the Middle Ages, The Chinese were very adept at polishing turds. They raised it to an art form that is still recognized today! I'm very envious of that.
