Default 1969 Camaro BBC TH350 Crossmember

Does anybody make an trans crossmember to run in a 69 Camaro with a Big Block? We just installed our engine and its an inch and a half away from the transmission bellhousing. We came to find out that in the Camaro, big block cars had unique crossmembers for the TH400 and Muncie each.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if you want a TH350 or TH400 xmember----GM did not offer a TH350 with any BBC in 1969 ONLY TH400 or Muncie 4 speed---those xmembers on Ebay are for a TH400---so if you want to use a TH350 w/BBC you will either have to fabricate one OR move the mounting holes in the frame--- BUT remember that the BBC TH400 xmember has the mounting tab offset to one side to accomodate the engine offset---Comp 387

I'm not sure on this but don't the big block mounting brackets push the motor forward about an inch which would give you that what you need. I'm not talking about the motor brackets but the ones that mount to the frame. I know on my buddies car his are different than mine and his car came factory with big block, and mine obviously came with small block. Probably easier to drill new holes but that might be why your not fitting.

The 350 crossmember would put the trans more forward, not back.
What does the crossmember look like?

Is it the tubular 400 style?

Is it the flat two piece, welded together style?

What transmission?

Is it an original SB car?

Where did you get the mounts?

Give us some facts to work with and we can help you.

the bb 4 speed x member SHOULD work with a 350 (the mount distance is the same).
400's ARE different..

Sorry for lack of details...

The car is a 6cyl, glide combo that we would like to make 427/glide or th350.

We have the correct Bigblock motor and frame mounts and just need to deal with the crossmember now, since our trans is currently an inch and a half away from the engine.

The crossmember you have now will work with a 350, a powerglide, a four speed or a 3 speed.
Doesn't make any diff. what engine you have.
That crossmember will work with every trans but a 400.

Pretty sure I'd just move the motor back if it's a bracket car, or even if it's a stocker for that matter.
