TCI Converter info
I have a customer that has a TCI converter and I think it is not correct for his combo. I'm considering changing to a known A-1 7" converter I have just to see what difference it makes in the performance. (might be too loose)
I tried calling TCI but must have got someone that was a min. wage employee having a bad day. I didn't get my questions answered. I got "Their agenda" I just wanted to know the general make up of the converter, like # of blades on the stator and the degree. and type fin. Is there anyone on this board that can answer my questions about an 8" TCI converter. Please P.M. me.

Re: TCI Converter info
from another board
After getting flatter head flexplate bolts, I went to put my car together and found the bolt pattern for the TCI converter is slightly off. I can send it back to TCI and get a different one for free, or I can send it back to SummitRacing and it will cost me $35 dollars shipping. I have chosen to send it back to SummitRacing. Now I have to find something else and I am thinking about an ATI converter. I was hoping to get this car on the road before I have surgery next week. I won't be able to work on the car for at least a couple of weeks. If it wasn't for bad luck, well you know the rest. sad.gif tci I bought a TCI convertor a few years ago and it was rusty inside. Sent it back. Moose.. TCI..... Trouble Comin In !!!! 2 tcis - no luck February 19 2011, 7:19 PM My trans guy says they are junk...I have had 2 that are vibrating. Now going with a new ATI.
