The Watson Racing exhibit at the Motor City Hot Rod & Racing Expo, booth #409, will include the new 2014 Ford Mustang that Chris Holbrook recently debuted in Florida. At last weekend’s NHRA Gatornationals, Holbrook posted the quickest elapsed time in the history of NHRA’s storied Super Stock category: 7.900. As if posting the quickest ET in the class’s history and winning class eliminations weren’t enough, Holbrook and the Watson Racing team also earned Best Engineered Car honors at the event.
The Watson Racing Super Stock Mustang features a supercharged 5-liter Ford Coyote powerplant, built by Holbrook Racing Engines. The engine is the first of its kind in NHRA competition. The Motor City Hot Rod & Racing Expo will mark the first Michigan public appearance for the new machine that features incredible engineering and technology from Watson Racing and Holbrook Racing Engines, both Michigan-based companies.
