2-step controller mounting
I'm adding a 2-step to my stocker. The rule book says the controller can't be located within driver's reach, but I've seen other stockers with controller mounted on dash in front of driver. And I see no reason why it shouldn't be within the reach of the driver. Any insights?

Re: 2-step controller mounting
You don't want the controller box anywhere with in reach anyway. Adjust it and live with your decision, stops second guessing and screwing up the run.

Re: 2-step controller mounting
Thanks for the knowledge and advice. It will be mounted out of reach.

Re: 2-step controller mounting
Mine is mounted on an aluminum platform in the passenger footwell along with the start/retard and ignition boxes...if I question my launch rpm decision, I just stare at it and mutter.

Re: 2-step controller mounting
Initially, I had mine mounted in the glovebox. It was not only out of reach, but also out of sight.
I now use a Grid and it has the 2-step function built in and they are adjustable only with a laptop. I have also found out that the car launches better when NOT launching off the 2-step. It was a bit of a learning curve at first, as I had always used a 2-step but I got the hang of it quickly.
