What would be min size truck to tow 24 foot enclosed trailer? I'm not talking about cross country or anything just locally around the state?

I'd think that depends on how safe you want to feel.........Some say you can use a 1/2 ton , myself I've got a 1 ton crew cab dually but my trailer is bigger.
My thinking is a 3/4 min depending on the weight your towing. Stopping is the big concern.

3/4 ton minimum. As he said, braking is the big issue.

F250, Dodge or Chevy 2500. Long wheelbase such as crew cab helps directional stability a lot, too. A dually helps too but harder to maneuver in the city and 6 tires wear about as fast as the 4 on a single rear wheel truck.

While I use a 1/2 ton F150 Supercrew with a 5.4 to pull it is not a optimum truck to pull with. I pull it 47 miles to my home track and have pulled it 150 and 94 to other tracks. Do not do it without trailer brakes at a minimum. Also a equalizer hitch is probably needed or at the least air bags. As said above you have to worry about stopping. We drive below the speed limit and keep an eye on the traffic in front of us. I have still had some instances where I was worried.

I have towed my 24 ft trailer with a 1998 Expedition (5.4 engine) a zillion miles to many tracks east of the Mississippi. (and KCIR a few times) 8,000 pounds loaded?

Good cam style equalizer bars. Prodigy brake controller. A prayer once in a while.

Not proud of it, just cautious.

Tweaker I have tried them all: Chevy half ton, Ford (F250), a half ton suburban (with and with out air bagas) and a chevy crew cab dually and the F-250 (3/4 ton). The 3/4 ton and the dually were the only ones that I felt comfortable with.
The Dually was the most stable and the most expensive to operate.
So the minimum I would recomend I would be a 3/4 ton ( a camper special if you can find one)

would it be possible and safe to tow a 24 foot enclosed trailer with a F150? like a supercrew or something? they are just so much cheaper than f250's.
