Drill a small hole at each end of the crack. This will help keep the crack from spreading any more. Then cover the whole crack up with RV roof sealer. You can buy it in a caulking gun tube for about 8 dollars at a RV dealer. This is not the "right" way to do it but its cheap, quick and will keep the water out to prevent more damage.

So what is the "right way to do it"?

Call Haulmark and order a new piece and replace it. But thats not inexpensive (if you have ever had to buy a part from them you know what i mean). If its not too bad it might be able to be repaired by a good body man but thats not going to be inexpensive either. I put the "right" in there so someone did not rip me a new one for what I was suggesting to do. I have done it the way I suggested in the past and it worked (crack stopped spreading and water quit coming in).

Camping World has some peel-n-stick patches for RV roofs that should work real good for that fix. I used one on my toter roof to repair a small hole that was from squirrels. Clean and stick the patch. Then you could paint the patch to match a little better.

Mike beat me to this one! I have used the same fix with my old trailer and it works great! Jim

Hey Mike, when you say "squirrels" are you taking about Jay?

The patch sounds like the way to go! I was thinking about trying a fiberglass patch, but this sounds much easier.

Look into a great product called Eternabond. It is the best RV seam sealer tape out there.
http://www.eternabond.com
You can order direct or some RV dealers carries some of the sizes.
