Default Caltrac Shocks

We've always set our Ranchos at "7". We just installed a brand new set of Caltrac branded units and of course we set them at "7". Cannot remember why, just being safe. The car is our C/SA '64 Plymouth, 4000 lb. full Caltracs system Dana 60, pretty well sorted out. What difference does it make to play with the settings on the rear shocks?

It affects how hard the slicks hit the pavement. Only you can determine what is the best setting. Test. Test. Test!
