Default Rules and Payouts

- Open to all NHRA and IHRA legal cars
- All cars must dial at or under their NHRA index. Tucson to use NHRA adjustment factor, currently 1.0281. If the car is an IHRA only class, remove .3 from IHRA index.
- We will use NHRA HP factors for all available combos. Must provide IHRA factor info if IHRA only combo.
- There will be heads up runs for pairs of same class cars during eliminations.
- There will be weight checks for all heads up pairs as well as random weight checks for all cars when a scale is available.
- Stock and SS will be run as one class
- No double entry – You are more than welcome to double enter with any other classes racing at the track that day.
- Points are earned by individual not car
- The ladder will be qualified based on reaction time. We will ladder 1st round.
- There will be two qualifying runs, and if track allows and time permitting there will be a third.
- You do not need to be a member to race. You must be a member to collect points and end of year awards.
- If you break prior to the second qualifying pass, upon request, you can get your AZSSSA entry fee back and be removed from the ladder. If you get your money back you will receive no points, show up or qualifying for the day. (The track gate may not be refunded. This is up to the track’s discretion.)

- Annual Membership - $50 Optional (All membership fees collected will go towards year end point series awards and prizes.)
- All membership fees paid are good until 12-31-XX of the year paid. Membership fees are not prorated for joining later in the year.
- Entry $50 paid at AZSSSA booth – This fee is in addition to any gate fee charged by track (100% of AZSSSA entry fees will be paid back in the purse.)

Based on car count. See Payout structure spreadsheet. We will pay all positions listed. If we list pay for semis as 2 @ 50 and there are only 3 cars in the semis, the best loser from the quarters will get the $50 for the second semi.

Payouts start with second round win.

- To be eligible to collect points, you must be a current AZSSSA member. You must pay membership monies before you leave the track for the day to collect points at your first race. Meaning if you run the race as a non-member and decide before you leave you want your points for the day you can still join and keep those points. If you wait until the next race to join you lose all previous rounds won and will start collecting points as of the day you pay.
- Each racer will receive 100 show up points and 100 points will be awarded for each round won.
- Qualifying points will be awarded to the fastest qualifying runs against the index.
- Qualifying points will be given to the top 10 qualifiers against the index in inverse order. (Ex: There are 32 cars entered, number 1 qualifier against the index will get 10 points, second qualifier will get
9 points down to number 10 qualifier getting 1 point. If there are only 8 cars entered, first qualifier will get 10 points and last qualifier will get 3. There will be no racers receiving 2 or 1 points since the field is short of 10 cars.)
- There will be a bonus point system for wins, runner up, and semi finalist finishes as follows:
- Win – 3 points
- Runner up – 2 points
- Semi – 1 point (If there is only one semi finalist only 1 point will be awarded. Unlike payouts, we will not give 1 point to the best quarter finalist.)
- Points will be collected at your best 5 out of 6 races.
- Ties will be broke as follows:
1. Most wins
2. Most Runner Ups
3. Most wins head to head
4. Point total for all 6 races
5. Best Average Qualifying position against index, over races attended
