Default Awning for my trailer

What awning company would some of you recommed to supply a awning suitable for use on my encosed trailer? What about fabric choice? Any first hand experience would be more helpful than the hours of research that I will put into this.

I'm interested to read the replies as my dad is looking at purchasing an enclosed trailer and this is a feature he'd like and I suggested a factory installed one vs. installing after the fact.

When I ordered my trailer I had them install an extrusion to secure the top part of the awning to the trailer. The rest of it should not be that hard to do. I have installed two awnings on my patio and it not that diffucult.

You have 2 main choices, Dometic and Carefree. Each are good. They don't offer different fabrics. Fabric isn't an issue, they will have years of life.

2 other choices, manual and power. Manual gives you more adjustability with rain and sun. Power is easy. Just touch the button and its more $$.

I have a power now on my coach and sometimes wish it was manual like my old one.

I was in the residential awning business for 20 years, a important note, Make sure you get one designed for trailers, they have locking mechanisms that are designed for over the road use.
Carefree had some neat printed vinyl fabrics, one looked like a american flag and the other was a checkered flag.
A&E is another company that makes awnings.
