Default ASRA Plans for Remainder of 2018

Due to more uncoopperative weather the weekend of August 11th and 12th, the completion of races #2 and #3 have been further postponed. When looking at the racing calendar, there are races every weekend extending through the end of September that impact ASRA members competing for our own championship. As a result, the completion of races #2 and #3 at Lebanon Valley has been moved to Saturday, October 6th. Here is a full outlook for the remainder of the 2018 ASRA season:

September 22nd and 23rd at Epping
  • Race 5 previously rained out will be completed on Saturday. This is the 2nd race of the Eastern VP Fuels bonus program. Points earned at this race will count towards the shoot-out.
  • Race 6 will remain on Sunday as initially scheduled. Points earned during this race will not count towards the shoot-out.
  • Both these fields are still open so any Stock/SS racer is welcome to come and participate
October 6th at Lebanon (Saturday)
  • The postponed race #2 and #3 with closed fields will be completed in parallel. These two races will be for the Lebanon Valley bonus fuel program as well.
  • There will be 1 time trial and then proceed right into eliminations
  • Points count towards the shoot-out and will be tallied immediately following completion.
  • For racers that attended on August 11th, please bring tech card stub as rain check and additional entry fee will not be required. If you did not attend August 11th but are returning on October 6th, there will be a $20 tech card fee.
October 7th at Lebanon (Sunday)
  • With completion of races 2 and 3 the day before, points will be calculated as quickly as possible and posted to confirm 16 qualifiers and first 2 alternates on Saturday evening.
  • Shoot-Out will be run according to rules in ASRA ByLaws
The track's local points programs are complete prior to October and there are no conflicting NHRA races that ASRA would need to accomodate. Also, the circle track at Lebanon is no longer operating so it provides more flexibility for race completions on Saturday as needed there. Thus, there are multiple open weekends in October at both tracks that can be used if ASRA continues to face weather challenges.
