I think it was. By then it was updated to a 77. It was bought by Jerry Gilbertson of Wisconsin. He is deceased. Then owned by Rod Weideman.

The car is in a tent inside of the track. My brother and I delivered it to the York show last evening. Already some really great cars there. Also met Wayne Jessel. Looks like it will be a good show

The key at this point is finding someone who remembers a car named Dream Weaver in Illinois in the late 70's, early 80s. I had a great time at the York show. I got a few names to check into, but not owners. I had two people tell me the car was not an SRD, which with out a doubt it is. I talked to Pete again on 7, 9, 17 and he has no problem with his verification of the car. It has had some changes and updates. It has had square steel added, the three link was changed to ladder bar and coil overs were added. But most of the original structure is still intact. Friday a big name racer told my dad the car was not a body in white. Then my dad showed him the trim tag that was put back on by SRD. I asked Pete why they put the tags back on. He said it made the cars classy in his words. They reinstalled the tags on there firewalls on the passenger side of the car. We are still trying to decode parts of the trim tag. It has CMR 114136 on it. Also there is not a build date on it. Pete is convinced it is an early built car by them. He also says they did not get many Body in white cars. The customer supplied the body. The search goes on

If you think the car is from the Midwest, you should try to contact someone that was a member of the UDRA Pro stock circuit from that era..May be they remember a car named the Dream Weaver.I have some Midwest Drag News magazines from back then.i will check them.

Maybe try to contact Bret Kepner. He is very knowledgeable on the UDRA and early Pro Stocks.

Got a completely solid lead today from a member. BIG thanks for the info. The car was owned by Gary Stewart. It was black and red. Then sold to Gary Drink, not sure on spelling. He then painted it blue and white and called it Dream Weaver. Supposed to have been sponsored by Chicago area Chevy dealers.
