Way to go Scooter
Great move by Scooter last week at Epping. The weather was coming in saturday so he decided to run the sportsmen eliminations after the pro show until curfew.Perfect move. The fans loved it and those who lost were on their way to another race saturday. Also got many races out of the way and took the pressure off the rain delay which came saturday night.I think they should start eliminations like that every time-----run it out until curfew while the weather is good.

I agree, the theme should be "git er done" as early as possible in the face of a weather pattern. We know that the pro rounds will be given priority to satisfy the TV crews. No make-up required for our guys.

Re: Way to go Scooter
I totally agree. Friday's decision was exactly the right one, I truly appreciated it when I went up in the tower and they told me that time trials would keep running and that round 1 for as much as they could get in would be post-pro's.I stayed at the track instead of grabbing the kids and had the wife bring them upgot my second time trial in stock, watched the show with the family, ran et trial #2, then the family got to watch me run round 1 at night.
I was running stock(dakota) and no box et(the infamous much maligned "family wagon" 08 4runner....no it wasn't my car of choice, the 70 RT/SE Challenger was stuck in garage due to tow truck brake line failure thursday PM. But it was great fun to run two cars. Lost in round 2 to Gene in stock(I dialed too low) and broke out in round 2 of Et(too much stripe, should have gotten off it), who knows how far that 4runner could have gone on Sunday.....tough to sit for 5.5 seconds on the line waiting for it. And a great cudos to whoever made the cookies we got if we won some money. They were truly outstanding. Eric

Re: Way to go Scooter
did you have to win a few rounds to get a cookie?
If so, I would be out of luck.
