Default Drag pac intakes

Ok, on drag pac intakes, don't the bolts go straight down from the top like a ford intake. They DO not go in on a angle like a chevy. and don't tell me the holes are not welded up either.there were a few at the Baby Gators like this and there was 1 correct one for sure and Tech was informed and nothing was done.

Make a separate lane for Stock-S/S cars during tech and things like this can be found.

Jason, while in theory that might sound reasonable, the question would
be who would be in those lanes looking at the cars, and has NHRA
invested in the S/SS education that would be needed to know what
to look for? J.R.

Brian,
What class and engine was in the car? On the original Drag Pac motors the bolts did come in from the top. I know the second version of the 426 and the supercharged motors are a different animal. I didn't look close enough at the newer motors to remember how they mounted but the later N/A intake is different than the earlier ones.

In each division there are techmen who are more knowledgeable about Stk/SS than the ones who look at S/Gas. Separate the Stk/SS cars from the others and let those techmen work their lanes. At least it would be better than what is happening in tech now.

Some of the early Drag Pak cars were also available with the 360 A engine instead of the Gen 3 hemi. You may have looked at one of them. That would explain the angle on the bolts.

End the bs and say who owns the car. Probably a 360. All the gen III hemi cars have vertical bolts and flat surfaces on the head and intake surfaces.
