It don’t sound like much, but @ 2,700 pounds and mated to a 6 speed, the car is a rocket ship around the corners. Ford got this one right. It’s all you need or can handle in the city at a bargain price. The 4 doors come in handy when you have to run a couple kids around, and the hatchback can haul some groceries. Kinda like the old wagons.

Here is a couple photos of my daily as it sits today.
I meant is it considered a "car" or like a crossover so it wouldn't be discontinued?

Here on Canadas West coast, we are currently paying $1.59-1.61 per liter, which works out to about 6 buck a gallon, for regular. Still far more PUs and SUVs rolling out of the new car dealerships than econoboxes. That said, at least in Vancouver BC, almost every taxi cab is a Toyota, mainly Prius hybrids.

Paid $1.79/litre for Chevron 94 on the weekend, still cheaper than a Medium coffee at McDonalds at $1.88. No chance on "Going Green" over here yet. MB

The Ford news release listed five car models to be discontinued by , model year 2020; Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Taurus and C-Max. The only North American produced passenger car will be the Mustang. Most of the truck and SUV lineup additions will be sourced from vehicles produced and sold in other areas of the world but not, presently, available in the U.S..
