St Thomas races Aug 4 and 5

Our next race coming up this weekend will be contested at St Thomas Raceway Park in lovely shaded park-like conditions.
We will share the races with Ted Barnes’ 10.90 TNT series as we did last year.

Weekend schedule:
Friday, Aug 3
gates open – 5:00 pm
Test and Tune – $20.00
parking / camping N/C

Saturday, Aug 4
gates open – 8:00 am
Qualifying and time trials – 10:00 am
Eliminations to follow.

Sunday, Aug 5
gates open – 9:00 am
Qualifying and time trials – noon
Eliminations to follow.

Cost:
Car and driver – $15.00
Crew – $15.00

Can-Am Races and special events:
Saturday evening we will host a special Shoot-out Race
“The Originals”
This is an invitational race for the 60’s or older racers who have supported our sport and series for many years.

Already committed are : Pete “Peters Cheater” Fedun, Wally “the Aussie” Clark, Don “The Hemi man” Cloake, “Bogus” Bob Elliott,
Barry “the Border Bandit” Poole, Vic Beleny, Bob “I wish I still had my wagon” Park, Ralph Wilkins, FJ Smith, Tom Simon, and more.
If you are a member of the “over the hill gang”, be sure to participate.

Our Tilburg Racing Engines Bounty Hunter award will be in effect Sunday. The first person to beat Saturday’s winner will receive $125.00

The Dilts Piston Hydraulics $100.00 member entry award draw will take place each day.

As well, Sunday there will be a “King Of The Hill” race sponsored by Tom Kovacs Electric. The winner of Saturday’s race vs the winner of Sunday’s race ,
$500.00 - Winner take all. This is in addition to the regular Can-Am payout.

Saturday evening, The St Thomas staff are having a steak and chicken BBQ. Cost $10.00 per person.

We are looking forward to our return to St Thomas and a great turnout of Can-Am Stock/Super Stock racers.
