Default Super winch with Synthetic cable ?

Just was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the synthetic cable that Super Winch is offering ? I see it's more money but I would think this option would be worth it . I think they are only one offering? I purchased a new trailer and was considering going with this winch because of the synthetic rope over metal cable , easier on hands and paint .

I used a syn. cable on my atv winch. I liked it , it's much easier on bare hands. but I would be carefull , in a trailer application. they are not very abrasion resistant , so you would need to make sure it doesn't drag on the floor or ramp when winching.

I have an S-3500... I talked to Super Winch, and they told me they don't recommend a synthetic cable for that model..... I don't know their reason.. So I went with a steel cable..

I ordered a S4000 and when I got it it had a synthetic rope. I spoke to Superwinch
and they said its better than a steel cable.I agree about watching for abrasion
but its actually rated higher than a steel cable. I'm very happy with it

Synthetic is lighter, of course, and won't fly around if it breaks. As above, don't let it rub the floor, etc. With any line, wrap it on the drum in an orderly fashion, not crisscrossed and jumbled up because one layer will abrade the other.
