Re: Process for HP Review
It is now a pop up form on the NHRA site, Fill in the engine /combo data and press submitt. No longer need to tell a story or give reasons why. The ets for the combo are researched and a determination is made relative to 5 tenths uner the index. Then and adjustment is made, up, down - or not.

Re: Process for HP Review
It looks like you must have a nhra number and raced to have a say. A 3 hp hit back in the day took me on a long trip to keep my car competive, putting it in a class that I do not think anybody could get to the min weight, but that's my problem. Just taking off 1 hp off my combo would make me happy, making me be able to run two classes in regular SS. GT was not a problem and has a lower hp rating but still had a 3 hp by the same person back in the day. Tom

I think you will find that you need to be currently running the combo so that they have some real world documentation that there is a problem. Their theory is that they don't want to be inundated with requests for theoretical combinations. Not saying this is fair or not, just the way it is.

Re: Process for HP Review
For next year, requests had to be in by Nov. 12th. Anything submitted now will not be looked at until the 2nd half next year. Dyno

Re: Process for HP Review
Tom,
Unfortunately the cutoff for the 2013 second half review was Tuesday November 12th. With that said I have added your request to the 2014 first half review file. Pat Cvengros Pacific Division Technical Director I guess you just have to have a number. Tom (
