1978 Dodge Magnum stocker?
I love oddball combos, this might not be an oddball but I would like to get an opinion on if this is viable. Its heavy, can be run as a 2 brl or a 4brl with a intake /carb switch (same cam and heads for either). Wants a grand but probably can get it for 600 or so. IF I do pull the trigger, you can count on a post by post build up here. N/O/P as a 2brl, L/M/N as a 4brl.

Tried to make the picture bigger but I failed miserably.

With the 4bbl it's OK but the 2bbl would need about 20 HP back to be worth your while.

the 360 270hp is the way to go. It would run under the index cheap.

Listen to Paul Wong. Incidentally,do these cars have the long straight front torsion bars,or the removable front K member with the bent bars contained in it?

Re: 1978 Dodge Magnum stocker?
Honestly I couldn't tell you Greg.
If I pull the trigger, this will be my first Mopar build so all the help/suggestions/honest know-how will be appreciated. If I do this, I will be using the 360/170/276 motor. Will the 904 bolt up? I'm inclined to think a 8 3/4 rear will be plenty? Long way off but Sox and Martin red, white and blue, or a simple Petty Blue? |

Not a wrench turned and you are already concerned about a paint job? Dream on.
