Default Front seats

After reading the rule book what does NHRA mean by full size aftermarket seats? I understand running oem front seats are a better option because of weight but I never had the oem seat so I'm trying to understand if my upholstered jaz high back buckets will work.

Default Re: Front seats

Nova…The rule basically means both seats HAVE TO BE IDENTICAL (same) EG: If drivers seat is say a Kirkey Part Number 41900 then the Right Side (passenger) will have to be a 41900. Some cars have a High Back for driver and a Low Back on the right side. I heard that a smaller size of the seat will be checked also. EG: Kirkey 41900 Drivers and 41700 Right Side (2" narrower) WON'T WORK . Hopes this answers your question…Maurice.
