Default Prayers for everyone in the Northeast.

An earthquake has hit the Northeast United States. Prayers that the damage is minimal and the injuries to anyone are minor.

I live in southwestern CT right on Long Island Sound about 55 miles from New York City, and I didn't experience anything. From what I understand it was centered in northern New Jersey and there was no damage; and, thank God, no injuries or fatalities.

I'm in central NJ, about 40 miles southeast of the reported epicenter and I felt it big time. A very loud rumbling and a good bit of shaking. Luckily, no damage in the area and the house looks to be OK. Definitely a bit scary.

It made its way up to New Hampshire. Just a slight rumble for us though. The earth has been rather grumbly over the last few months in the Northeast, Hopefully, it isnt a sign.

Well now I know what a quake feels like, even though it was minor. Things shook and wobbled for about 15 seconds. Here in No.NJ (Wayne) we get "rumbles" every now and then, mostly gas tanks exploding at Camp's junkyard Heard a building fell in Newark.

This morning's was like an explosion followed by 15 second worth of deep rumbling. I jumped up and went outside and saw nothing.....

Worked all afternoon in my garage and felt one aftershock

A little while ago another powerful quake but thankfully very short....similar to this morning.....like an explosion and a quick rumble....My ears popped both this morning and this last one...

It's very unpleasant but thankfully no damage or very minimal from what I saw on the Boob Tube...
