Default Latest nhra response to proposal

Here is nhra latest response to my suggestions for stock and super stock. If you need a reminder my original post is still on here. I hope to get some changes to make national records prominent again and more for class racing. As you can see Glen mentions the stick/auto deal......we'll see........I don't give up easy.......Ed

Mr. Carpenter,
I’m sorry we (NHRA) have been so slow in our reply to your suggestions. We have had some pretty healthy discussions about some of your suggestions and one of your items (stick vs. auto) is still an open item with the Stock and Super Stock Sportsman Racer Advisory Council (SRAC). I am headed to Phoenix tomorrow for a National Event, but I just got off the phone with Dave Mohn (our NHRA Stock and Super Stock SRAC Chairman) and we are going to meet next Tuesday to look over our notes and work on a response to your suggestions. If everything goes well and we don’t have too many interruptions we should be getting back to you in the next couple of weeks, if not sooner. Again, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Feel free to email or call me anytime. My cell is 6262-253-4363. Thanks!

Ed,
Can you refresh my memory...what was the stick/auto deal? Are we talking combining them into one?

I’m interested to see how this plays out! It happened to us FGT and FSS cars a few years ago. It was kind of quiet except for the few of us who lost .10-.25 on our indexes.

Going out on a limb here, but I bet there is an uproar if all automatic cars lose .10-.25 and have to run stick cars heads up!!!
