I heard he missed the call. Text came out at like 7:30 in the morning from NHRA. Late Saturday night they announced would be starting early due to rain delays. He may have never known..?

There were 3 rain delays Saturday and the call wasn't made until late that evening. Evidently no one 'in-the-know' had his contact info to pass along the update. My opponent (also a local) almost missed it, power-slid into the staging lane at the last minute and promptly took me out.
