Default This Week's Two-Cents Worth

"I think they’re slowly transitioning into entertainment and maybe that’s where the future of the professional end of the sport lies. But at the same time, they’re continuing to push the sportsman racers further out the door."

Well I guess the question around the pits will be answered soon
What would happen if one of the Big 3. Folded up what would Nhra do?
And crazy to think pro stock had the only full field.
Nhra heads in the sand as usual. As a sportsman racer it’s Sad.

Pro Stock and Funny Car had full fields. Top Fuel had a full field of entries, but had at least one or two withdraw leaving the field short.

I worry more about the high dollar Sportsman categories, Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Competition Eliminator more than the Pros.

NHRA thought they would help Comp by allowing the Hemi class and the Showdown cars in except they are forced to run Comp with stock rules 9 inch tire no transbrake no air shifter. Yes you can run Comp but with out all the things your competition can have. Stupid and why run at a disadvantage

And what will they use to fill the downtime? The $64,000 question. Will it look like the big booked in shows with fuel cars, jets, wheelstanders, maybe monster trucks and some bracket racing?

There are some classes in Comp restricted to tire size and no auto shift.
I also agree with Becky very hard index for AH cars only.
