Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
I know this is going to sound negative and I do not like having to post a response like this, but you are going to hear a lot of people on here boasting about the service they received from Pat at Techwest, but my own personal dealings with him have not been favorable. He has had my 7AL since last August and though my first conversation with Pat was positive and informative, I have yet to receive my box back yet. He will not answer my phone calls and only responded once to over half a dozen e-mails I sent him. His one response was that UPS lost it and that he was dealing with some family issues and made mention he would get me a replacement box. That was months ago and I still have not heard anything more. In my last e-mail I ask him if he could at least credit my credit card, which has not happened yet. I have read other posts complaining of the same treatment. If you choose to try him I hope your dealings go better than mine.

Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
I have had great luck dealing directly with the fine folks at MSD.

Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
Might I ask what sort of failure you had? I'll assume the box went? You didn't post what series unit you're running, along with how it's being triggered or what coil is being used. I've got a 25 year old gold 7al that has yet to fail hence the question.

Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
It is a Digital 7 Plus #7520 and I was just told they are through away unit's as they used epoxie to assemble and it is not a unit they will repair -- so we will be putting another unit in my son's Nova - Thank's Everyone

Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
Wasn't the digital series basically replaced by the GRID system, perhaps that would be the better choice if you're requiring all the bells and whistles. Other than that a 7al box will get it done. Good luck with what ever you decide.Joe

Re: MSD FAILURE and REPAIR FACILITY
We've had good luck with both MSD and http://techwestracing.com/ on older units, and recent purchases.
