Default Good news, no bad here!

I would like to start by saying Thanks..
Thanks to all my friends and buddies that have been concerned with my Dads health and my own eye issues. You prayers, phone calls and e-mails were appreciated.I really missed being at PRI and seeing y'all.
We are both doing well. We got Dad home Christmas Eve from his heart surgery. We didn't have much of a traditional Christmas, but we had a celebration. He had a couple of setbacks the following week, but came through OK. He is now staying by himself, in his own home, caring for himself. Not bad for an 84 year old geezer.. :~)
I am typing this with no glasses and went back to work last week on a limited basis.
I'm doing machine work, but "no lifting". This cold weather and glare off the snow is causing a little discomfort, but that will pass. It seems the massive doses of steroids they had me on last year didn't help my eyes. That was when my asthma had me in and out of the hospital for 2 months. It is so nice to be able to see again.
Again I thank you guys.
Fair warning!!
Watch out.....
Now that I can see what I'm typing you might have to endure a few more posts from me.

Lynn,
It was nice to see you and "your Lady" when you were down here. Yea, Dad is a "Charmer".
At times he is really a "Hoot". I've really been enjoying the time with him. You did notice he still treats me like a 16 year old!! Ha!
Looks like the daughter will be a citizen of Kentucky. She got a nice ring on Thanksgiving from a real nice young man. (He Kinda reminds me of me) We will probably be spending time up there to see the grand daughters. Might take you up on the invite to the lake house. Donna has agreed with me that we need a faster way of getting to Kentucky so I'm now looking at selling off some of these race cars and excess shop equipment. The proceeds will go for the purchase of an airplane. Now I need someone that wants to trade a race car for their airplane. Have you guys eaten all that BBQ sauce? Need some more? You should have tried some of the "Rub" Talk about making a piece of meat GOOOOOD!

Adger, you'll have to try some of my pork rub. Its not Kansas City, Memphis or Texas. But, for a country boy from Missouri, it aint bad!

Thanks for the help,

Wade

Wade,
I might just have to try some. Good tasting food is one of Dad's past times/passion. He tastes or has something good he will try to duplicate it. He has been working about 30 years on an Greek sauce used at a, now gone, local restaurant. Um, um, good! Both the owners have passed away. He doesn't know I have found one of the guys that was a cook that says he has the recipe. I'm gonna surprise him some day with a big jar of it. It's a shame I don't have his passion for cooking. He got it from his mother. Wow, what a cook!
Damn, now I'm hungry......

Hey Adger, Happy to here you are doing good. We're planning to race at Shreveport , hope to see you there. I'll go ahead and wish you a early Happy Birthday. After all the years I've known you (about 40) I never knew there was only one day difference in our age (you naturally being the older and wiser, lol). See at the races Adger.
