$10,000 Stock/Super Stock Race
Just a heads up on Dave Ley's Stock Super Stock race at Atco. We have 66 cars, Dave wishes we had more. Dave has guaranteed the $10,000 to win even without a full field of 128. Weather is great, everyone had as many time shots as they needed. Eliminations start at 2:30.
Thanks for a great race Dave Ley and Joe Sway. $200 to enter and $10,000 for the win. A one day race with an instant check for the winner, it doesn't get any better. |

Re: $10,000 Stock/Super Stock Race
I think it would have been better on monday. Many people are going to straight englishtown with nothing to do on monday and tuesday. Just a thought. Gary

Re: $10,000 Stock/Super Stock Race
Sorry to here that Robert.
With all due respect Gary, Dave has gone out of his way to make this race a success. I know its a far race for some, but the guaranteed purse makes it worth while. To say it should have been on Monday or Tuesday before e-town or any other day is not fair to Dave and misses the point. I am so tired of racers complaining about payout and how they get treated. Instead of asking why it wasn't on the day you wanted, maybe you should look at like, hey what a great race for the sportsman guy. |

Re: $10,000 Stock/Super Stock Race
Thanks Ken for posting the info . Joe Sway and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the first ever 10K to win Stk/SS race . Inspite of the car count Joe and I decided that no matter what we were paying the full purse. We have already discussed plans for it again for next year and we think it will be a little more accomodating for some people to attend.
We also want to thank some Sponsors who stepped up to the plate to make this happen : VP Race Fuels Roy Freeman from Hoosier tire The Speed Shop at Atco Last but not least a thank you to the people who worked behind the scenes to make this a very smooth running event , The entire Atco Raceway staff , Bill Holmes , Russ Wernes and of course the most important person in my life , my wife Gloria. Again, we want to say thanks to the racers who came out and we look forward to a bigger and better event next year. Joe Sway Dave Ley |

Re: $10,000 Stock/Super Stock Race
Just wanted to say thank you to Dave for putting on such a great race. Its too bad that more people didnt come out and support a guy that does so much for Stock/Super Stock in the northeast. This race was perfect for all the racers that complain about how bad NHRA is and how low the payouts are. Thanks again to Dave and Gloria, Joe Sway, Hoosier, VP, and everyone else involved in making this such a great race. Congrats to Sal and Simpers jr. Great job. Thanks again. Bryan
