MOTOR MOUNTS
May be replaced with steel units designed to eliminate rubber
section of stock mounts. Engine must be in stock location — height,
setback, etc. Motor plates and mid mounts prohibited.

I've been looking at some cars to get a few Ideas on a build and I've seen a couple stockers that appeared to have 1/2 mid plates in them and that is why I asked. Are they getting away with them by calling them torque straps? Maybe they just haven't been caught yet.
Thanks, Mike

The rule for Torque Straps is quite specific or they are pushing the rules until they get caught.

TORQUE STRAP
Permitted. Must be on one side of engine only.

XStocker,
You are correct and they have been running them for years. There is nothing illegal about them as you will see them on the driver side only. That satisfies what SSDiv6 stated.
Good way to gain header clearance around the steering shaft and box.
