Banquet Highlights

The 2009 ASRA awards banquet was a great success with a crowd of 70 people in attendence. The Santangelo family were the stars of the show with Joe II earning his second ASRA championship in three years along with the prestigous Peter O. Moran Sportsman of the Year Award. Not to be out done by his son, Joe I was voted the ASRA Support Person of the year. The best appearing car honors went to Mark Markow for his beautiful S-10 SS entry.

The top ten points earners were awarded wall plaques, made by the very talented John Gray, with photos of their race cars and the race and shootout winners were recognized with Trophy Cups.

The lucky raffle winners are Eric Merryfield who won the membership raffle and the lucky Gary Parker took home the 50/50 money.

The ASRA BOD would like to thank all who donated door prizes, and we had several this year. Thanks to Lenny @ Ultimate Converter Concepts, Central Conneticuit Coatings, Diamond RV, Jeff Coyne, AL Smyth from Porta Tree, Casey Glass and all the others who donated prizes. Sorry if I missed somebody, maybe Dave can chime in on this.
And of coarse all those who attended the banquet and rules meeting.
