Default My 67 El Camino

I just rented a shop to build my El Camino in, about 2000 sq ft with 12' ceiling. It's been vacant for the 3 years I've had my shop across the parking lot; my landlord is letting me use it for $300 a month plus utilities. If he gets a 'real' tenant I'll have to vacate, but in the meantime I have my project in out of the weather. I'll post some picture once I take some - just made the deal Wednesday and moved the car and trailer in on Thursday.

Good luck Marty -- $ 300 a month is like almost free ................

I don`t think he has raced it in a few years, but I`m sure Mark Faul still has his Super Stock 66 El Camino. Like his cool blue 51(?) Chevy fastback, I think its a "Keeper."

Think his Dad use to run it some, but think you're right that it's been a while. Did see there is a later model running in U/SA in D5 but 65-67's are by far my favorite. Hope it makes it to the track, really like the variety of the lower class cars.

No, but I'll only have the heat on when I'm there working. My 'day job' is just across the parking lot, so I can turn the heat up mid-afternoon and have it warm when I'm ready to go to work.

You're right Rory, it's not going anywhere. Blew up the 283 at a combo race 3 years ago, and it's been sitting ever since, because I'm out of bullets :-(
Hoping to finish my good SS engine for this year and put the spare in if Dad wants to run it. Or if someone would buy the Chevelle, I'd make the ElCamino a Stocker.

Good luck with your project Marty!

Thank you, Mark. I must say I'm glad I found this forum. Billy Nees is helping me with advice on building the 230, and I bought the trailer from Mike Carr.
