This is fantastic! I remember this as though it were yesterday. I saw the Beatles in 1964 live. Still have the original 33rpm LP's. Jim

Me too...Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Don't remember the music, just screaming & flashbulbs. I didn't realize there were that many Brownies in the city - cameras or mini-Guides!!

Re: The Beatles live in 1964
Wow! At almost 52 I'm on the young side to have been in the midst of that craze. But my E-150 people hauler (I've got 1 12 year old son 3 ten year old girls) has a custom plate "RFAB4"; but alas, nobody seems to get it!
And I finally saw a Beatle live, 2006 I believe? Saw Paul MCartney and he played a lot of Beatles hits. It was fantastic. Couldn't believe I paid $500 for a pair of tickets in the front section but it was a lifelong dream and glad I did it. But the fact it was on HBO two months later really pissed me off.. Thoughts on this '64 concert: Did they have a $1500 budget for instruments, speakers, and a turntable for Ringo that looked like it may fall over anytime? How would you like to have front row seats and stare at the front of a big old cop for the duration? Or the back of a photographer that mooches in anytime he wants? Compared to concerts in the recent past and the present: As much as those kids were about to crawl out of their skin with excitement; they remained seated! No tattoo's seen...anywhere! Heck, I couldn't even see cleavage on any of the gals! :roll eyes: My how times have changed but nobody will be better than the Beatles! Last thought: After watching Ringo on the drums for the whole set, I want to take lessons!

That was, by a bunch, the longest YouTube video I've ever watched, and it was well worth every second. All I could do was smile and remember. THE BEST BAND EVER!
