Default RIP Mike Szczepanski

Div. 5 Stock racer Mike Szczepanski from MN. has passed away after a battle with cancer. He raced a Nova wagon in Stock for a few years, and recently had built a very nice reproduction of George Cureton's Toyko Rose 1956 Chevrolet sedan delivery that he and George have raced, and showed at the Tri Five Nationals the last few years. Mike was able to be at this years event but sadly passed away a few weeks later.

Mike was friend of mine. We worked together, travelled together and had many a conversation about the changing S/SS technology, cost of racing and life in general. He was talented fabricator who built many very very nice cars for himself and others. He raced Stock and Top Stock and was pretty darn good!

RIP My Friend

So very sorry to hear this, have been hoping to be able to see Mike at a race soon. Remember him and his smile at all the IHRA races we went to with Tom and Carol Rix and the Top Stock adventures. I think Connie knew where every Cracker Barrel was! My condolences to his family and the friends who are missing him.
