North Carolina Car/Trailer Tax Bills Overvalued
All you NC racers, check your trailer tax bills. I live in Franklin County, don't know if that makes a difference. I received a tax bill in conjunction with the License Plate renewal, and the valuation on my open 16' trailer was $3250. They have new software, and a lot of evaluations are wrong. They corrected mine over the phone, changed mine to $989, cutting my tax bill by 2/3. Of course I hadn't paid it yet, so that may make a difference. I called the number on the front of the tax bill/license renewal.
I also had the same thing happen on a 64 chev I owned, they went from $5000 to $20,000. I called on that and they changed it over they phone

They're hoping you don't catch it, I've had to call about everything I've had to renew so far.
