Default 79 Z/28 Pure stocker

Well, i chickened out on the 98 Mustang GT 5 speed ($$$$$).
I now have a 79 factory stock original Z/28 350/175/275 that i am going to tinker on . The index i'm shooting for in the 1/8 is 8.70. I am going to run it this Sunday at t & t to get my base start. I will do a converter , gear, tires , tweaked carb and cut-outs without headers to begin with. Car feels like a mid 9 to me now ,but will see this weekend.I hope it will 8.00 to 8.20 when finished. Wish me luck
