Default Roadster body

I have a couple questions about roadster bodies. Who makes a nice quality body, what price do they run. Will a 33 ford front fit on a 27 body. And what other style ford bodies are out there other then 23,27,& 33. Maybe a Mustang or ? Thanks for your help.

Hi Robbie.

I guess your back from the nice weather and back to the winter stuff.

Are you going with a left steer car or a center steer car. The reason is, I think the left steer car is allowed to run in other classes like MOD at MIR and the Eastern Raider Series. I don't think that a center steer car is allowed. When Robert Robinson got his Corvette roster, he got a left steer car for that reason.

Tom, yea we're home and already been snowed on once. It's left hand steer, I've been thinking it might be time for a change?

All you had to do is ask. I think you need at least 110" WB. Robbie's car is probably 100"

I like the 55-57 T-Bird....That body will never get old.....the new Mustang is already getting old...it's like 80s and 90s Firebirds and Camaros, who even looks at um anymore. Once it's real old it stays new forever LOL 50s and 60s Corvettes forever LOL

I think ole Blue in Stock or Super/Stock would be the way to go.....1/2 the $$$$ of a Roadster and alot more fun. LOL 289 = SS/M 390 = SS/K. I think these classes would be the same in Stock for that car. Mine fits in L....you could run in L by adding or subtracting some weight

Wade & Keith, I here ya with 57 Bird it would be cool. I just don't think I can pull the trigger on the roadster. I'd have to do all the up dates for the 7.50 spec but Jimmy is talking about building a brandX engine for it ? The Blue car in stock would be way cool I'm not sure a 289 could be competitive in a 66 Fairlane. If a 390 could be built for dual purpose, run the index in stock, and the occasional street cruse that would be the best of both world. Plus you know I have a thing for Fairlanes. I do want to run Indy some day, maybe go ahead and just build a new engine for the red car so I can run S/St and S/G when I want to. Cost is always the major factor I'm not planning on going back to work full time for ether project. It's just time for a change. WHAT TO DO???????????
