buy the biggest trailer you can---after you get it home and start to fill it up with all your stuff it will always be to small --a lot depends on the weight/length of the racecar & tow vehicle you are going to use too---3 axles if you get a 28-30 footer rides nicer---GET SIXTEEN INCH TIRES---- 16 INCH TIRES with LOAD RANGE E solves all your tire problems---PLUS it will make the towing experience much more enjoyable you won't be pushed around by winds and rough pavements makes for a more stable ride--Tor-Flex or torsion bar axles are great too--- trailer sits lower and handles bumps much smoother than springs will----FED 387

If gvw exceeds 10,000 lb. in some states you must obey all commercial regs.

We wanted to do the same thing and not go bigger than we had. We had a 24 ft pace with an rv tongue. After a lot of research, we ordered a Bravo trailer.24 ft with rv tongue. We we did to fit the cart was to order it with a 60 inch wide double side door. We didn't have any floor cabinets just the wall mounted ones. Upgraded to 16 inch wheels too. It is tight fitting the cart in, so you have to watch the length of your cart. We have alum ramps to drive the cart in the side. We have a 66 Chevy 2 it it fits easily with the cart and room for tools up front. Very happy with it.

Rear seat kits and suff can add length, but as a rule you can use a 4x8 sheet of plywood for a stock footprint reference. My 28' workes great with the cart and Chevelle.

Only if vehicle is registered to a business. If pickup or motorhome is in your name you are good to go. Also, unless you have major sponsors and you make a profit on your racing, you are not a commercial operation. Google commercial driver vehicle requirements, if you want to know more.

Also keep in mind, just tell officer it is a hobby, you do not do this professionally unless you do.

If you use the double side door and al ramps for the golf cart make a pair of stops for the front wheels on the wall to spread the pressure and tie the cart acoss the trailer to keep it as far as possible in the door. I have a metal rear deck/folding seat on the rear of mine and that makes entry hard through the door when the cart is in so be sure all tie down is done first before loading cart. Keep ramps fairly long so cart clears door floor edge. Side mounted winch can pull it in too if needed to control on entry.
I had cabinets in front of trailer but above on side to clear. 28 ft would give space between car and cart if you need to get in to check it or out of rain at track.

My question is impressions of brands Haulmark, etc. I was spoiled with T and E or Goldrush but cutting budget.. Which do people like of lesser expensive brands....

Hi,

With a 28' trailer, workbench and cabinets at the front and a golf cart you will not be able to get your racecar (my racecar is 3700 lbs) far enough back to offset the additional tongue weight.....

You will probably need 1000# bars on your equalizer hitch....

I have a 28' Pace trailer loaded with a car and golf cart behind a 1 ton Dodge Dually CTD and it's a load until I load my lift bars.....

If the trailer was longer the car could be loaded further back.......

Just my 2 cents,
Bob
