I'd replace the ignition box and coil. especially if it is a MDS 6 anything.

Todd is thinking what I am thinking. If the rings are not controlling the oil it will foul one side more than the other.

Bob, I was thinking similar about oil except in the intake fit. Angle wrong and the bottom open to the valley or the end pads holding it up when tightened down or some brute tightened all of one side before he did the other.

Thanks guys!

He still hasn't found the problem yet.

He's trying a new intake gasket next.

This motor has ran before. He took intake off to do a cam swap. Had a vacuum leak at intake so replaced that. Now it idles but has the current problem.

Ignition is a 6 not sure which one.

Car was started and ran intially without the MSD ground hooked up. Hooked it back up and no difference.

Maybe with ground not hooked up it did something to the box?

Also this is the 1st time he's used this brand of intake gaskets.

A good ground is often overlooked and will mess up anything electronic, but I can't see it affecting only one side of the engine.
