Question Another ? about NHRA's sportsman class rotation

I asked last week about none of the classes being dropped from the Dallas race, Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp and Super Gas all ran. Even the alcohol classes ran. Now I notice that Comp is dropped this week at Memphis and next week at VMP also. 2 national events in a row and the same sportsman class is dropped from the rotation? What is up with that?

NHRA went from 4 lock outs to 2 lock outs for S/C, S/G, Stk, and S/S for 2009. This was a reduction of 4 to 2 for these classes. Comp went from 4 to 6 for 2009.I guess we will know in January what NHRA's plans are for 2010.

Thanks for that information Tony. Kind of makes you wonder if this is a sign of things to come for the Comp class. If so, then what class might be next?
