Need a source for headers, Big block mopar
Looking for leads for a set of headers. Plan A was finding a decent set of used headers, that didn't pan out. Plan B was going to Hedman headers which of couple of people recommended as they had built custom pipe size headers built. These were shelf headers with pipe size and lenght changes. Well after calling them, they don't do that anymore. The top shelf header guy is not in the budget for me. I will be calling REF in Az today as I heard they do a good header. I'd appreciate any leads, thanks

Think the TTI is a good option.

Re: Need a source for headers, Big block mopar
I called REF today, they sound reasonable, fast turnaround. American racing headers need the car, that's not happening. TTI doesn't list a racing header, but maybe they will sell one of their step headers w/o the collector, then I can put on a decent one. thanks for the help.
I'll call Kooks tomorrow.

Brian,
REF did an excellent job on the headers for my small block Mopar stocker application. Good to talk to, reasonable price, fit well and delivered as promised. Couldn't really ask for more. Tim |

Tim, I appreciate the heads up. Did they do mild steel headers for you ? If so, who did your plating ? I had some plated by nitro plate a couple years ago. They did a great job, but I don't think they do individual headers anymore.

Brian,
Yes mild steel, and PolyDyn in Houston applied the coating. They did a good job - phone 888-765-9396. They have a variety of coatings to choose from. |

Re: Need a source for headers, Big block mopar
I know Greg personally [same town]. his headers are just as much a work of art as they are headers. he built a set of merge collectors for my 56, which cut a tenth off previous ETs with no other changes. besides they are so cool to look at. the welds Robby put out are like an artist drew them.
