Re: Wong/Shaw
Thanks to all of you for the congratulations and nice comments. Paul worked his magic on it. I have never gone that quick.

Re: Wong/Shaw
You are truly the Wizard, and very humble. For you youngsters out there ,Bob Shaw won the Sportsnationals in the mid 70’s with a CORVAIR named HALF FAST.

Re: Wong/Shaw
Bob has more#1 qualifiers than anyone in stock ... quiet guy but if he’s there it’s a good chance he will be on top of the sheet ... damn shame it broke a starter on line round one 😞

Re: Wong/Shaw
Aw rats. Man I know that pain. Four cars from the starting line at Pomona on a Sunday afternoon the snap ring popped of the starter gear and the gear got spit about fifty feet behind me. Sinking feeling. Congrats on a killer combo tho'.

Who could forget.. Z stick corvair. I think the car ran about a 20 second quarter. Think it is back east still.Looking down the qualifying list I am sure Bob is responsible for many cars and or the combination.

Re: Wong/Shaw
Bob Shaw you are the man! Of that there can be no doubt. It was always enjoyable (painfully) when racing you in the old days! Congratulations to you and Paul.

Re: Wong/Shaw
With the combo of Wong and Shaw how can they not be number 1. A ton of effort in that combination. Way to go guys - Congrats.

Re: Wong/Shaw
Way to go Paul and Bob! I hope to talk to both of you for some assistance on my combo, because although I feel I'm on the cusp of running 14's next year with my 173V6 at Pomona, I think you two could offer me some good ideals or parts (read headers), that'll get my car quick enough to make the tow to Indy worthwhile, in these next two years?
