Default 69’ Talledega Trim pieces

Hoping someone on here has some experience with trim pieces on a 69’ Talledega. There are 3 trim moldings that fit right behind the rear quarter windows. In this particular case they are loose and I would like to get them off cleaned up and reinstall them. I will attach a photo once I figure out the sizing requirements, but if anyone has experience removing and/or just retightening them I’m looking for any instruction how to do it without damaging them. Was told to remove inner trim and there would be nuts on the inside but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Thanks for the help!

May be wrong, but I thought they were made with two “studs” and were held in place with trim barrel clips ( ford used two different sizes) my NAPA stocks them or has gotten them for me.
I believe I have a set laying around but thought that 68 cars were different than 69 cars.
I’ll go look if you still need info.

Good Luck

Take a deep breath, remove inside headliner fabric or sail panel. Be very careful when dealing with old headliner fabric. Sometimes Ford would install nasty AZZ flimsy sound deadener that would make it hard to see the nuts. After locating nuts put butyl tape or anything sticky on end of socket. If you don’t ten dollars to a doughnut you will drop the nut ...been there done that. Barrel nuts, I doubt it, would be way too easy....Good Luck, take care.....

I have one of these cars and even though mine doesn't have them ( removed by a previous owner ) I'm pretty sure they have the little studs welded to the body ( same ones that hold the rear window moldings on ). The back side of those "gills" have two keyhole slots that are spring steel(?) That the little studs slip over and as you pull them down the studs go into the narrow part of the keyhole. It will take a couple of days but I will post pics of the back side of the "gills". I believe to remove them you push up in the bottom of the "Gill".

No need to remove the headliner. They fastened by a t-stud. PIA to take off.
