Im not really interested in buying clamp on kits for $150.00, and im not satisfied with the quality of $50 clamp on kits.
To all that cant understand why NHRA wants us racers to buy certified kits, the simple factual reason is that NHRA wants to be sure that quality parts are being used. With the prices that certified Tether kits are at now, I dont see much reason to squabble that we as racers are being ripped off, we have choices from $60 to $150 with contingency being paid on the higher priced units. Its nice that we have so many choices now.

I already have your merged collectors and welded tabs with bolts that will keep the collectors from falling off.

That being said,do you sell just the approved "cable" or do you just sell the whole kit as one?

My dragster headers have mounting tabs on all for primaries where the collector bolts up w/ stainless hardware w/ nylon inserted lock nuts. The parts to make these kits are 10-20 bucks if that and the companies are making 1000% on the mark up.
If you're using "nylock" nuts on your exhaust, you should be first in line for the tether set up. I do agree however that you should be able to make your own under the guide lines NHRA provides.

With my headers having a 3 bolt flange that's welded on and my extensions with a 3 bolt flange that's welded on and these are bolted together do I need the tether ?
I would think that 3 --3/8" bolts would be plenty strong enough to keep the extension on !!!

you most definately DO NOT want to use a Nylock nut in ANY high temperature application--- the nylon is going to melt!!!!!!! If you need to use a lock nut you can use what is known as an "all metal lock nut"--- these come in several different styles but they do the same thing---
You better check with NHRA on that bolt together collector extension set up get a final ruling just to be safe!!!

For $59 it's hard to complain too much. Btw, these use pinch nuts instead of a nylock. Contingency paid on these as well.

I did not see anything on their website about contingency. I sent them a question about it.

Just got an email from Andy Nicholson at Collector-Cable.com. They do NOT pay contingency. They do have a great product.
